If you suspect that there is a mold problem in your building a professional Mold Inspection, performed by GreyGrey Technologies, can provide you with the answers to your questions and address your concerns.

A Mold Inspection starts with a site visit and a thorough visual assessment of the conditions present in the building. During the visual assessment GreyGrey Technologies will be looking for any colonies of suspected mold growth, possible sources of water and/or moisture, unusual odors or any other red flag items that might indicate that the building has a mold problem.

The visual assessment is non-destructive. No damage will be done to the building.

Following the visual assessment, representative samples are collected for laboratory analysis. If colonies of mold growth are discovered in the building, bulk samples of the mold growth will be collected to identify the type(s) of mold on those surfaces. If no visible signs of mold growth are present in the building air samples will be collected to check for the presence of unusual types or elevated levels of airborne mold spores. The discovery of elevated levels of airborne mold spores or the identification of unusual types of mold spores can be indicative of a hidden reservoir of mold. A hidden reservoir of mold is mold growth that is occurring inside of an inaccessible building cavity (e.g. between a ceiling and a floor, inside a wall, under carpeting). All samples collected are sent to a third-party laboratory for analysis.

As soon as the laboratory results are received and have been evaluated, the findings are communicated to you verbally to minimize delays. We provide interpretation of the laboratory report, recommendations on how best to address any issues that have been discovered. We deliver guidance on how to best proceed with cleanup, whether or not professional remediation is needed, and answer any other questions that may arise. A copy of the certified laboratory report is forwarded to you for your records.

An optional* written report can be prepared that includes:

  • A summary of the observations from the site visit.
  • Details of the samples collected including the sample types and sample locations.
  • Interpretation of the laboratory results.
  • Recommendations on how best to address any issues that have been discovered.
  • A Mold Glossary that provides detailed information about the mold genera/species identified in the laboratory report.
  • A Mold Cleanup FAQ that answers some common questions about how to clean up mold growth.
  • If requested, a photo-log can be provided to provide documentation of the conditions observed during the inspection.

  • *There is an additional fee for preparation of the written report.
